The Sox prospects are pretty much immaterial.  Casas is several years away and Dalbec isn't projected to be good enough that you make sure to clear space for him, plus Myers can handle LF in Fenway at least.  This is all about optimizing the prospect return and money dump.  Betts is just the cost that must be paid to restock a Dombrowski-induced farm system wasteland and a Dombrowski payroll. 
not going to argue too much with this.  Dalbec isn't Kieboom, who you want to clear space for, and I think Myers could play left with Beni and Bradley covering right and CF.  A deal with Price and Betts for Myers + prospects more or less is dropping out of the wild card race to restock.  It's probably too late to then take the $40MM and spend up to the CBT threshold to make up for the lost wins.
