The Minnesota Twins now hold the record for most consecutive playoff losses by any franchise in any major North American sport.

Man, that's a distinction I'd be glad to never get for a team I liked.

I think there's one ALDS loss to a team other than the Yankees in there somewhere, but for the life of me I don't recall it.

All but three of those. They were swept by the A's in 2006

Even the worst team in baseball wins 33% of their games. What the Twins have done is truly incredible.

still, winning 0% of games as a playoff team for 16 straight games is remarkable.

also someone pointed out how this year's twins played a lot of games against the royals, tigers and white sox - a decaying team, a tanking team and a bad team. that's like 50 games right there against turds. tough lost.

Yep, in those 16 games, their bats never caught fire, the opposing starter never melted down- zone of the randomness that can get even the worst team a win

Warmed up but the Astros aren’t going down easy.  Snell in for his first ever relief appearance against the tying run in the ninth

True, but Houston was predicted as a team nobody could beat.  This questions those assumptions

It would indeed be big if the Astros and Dodgers could both somehow be eliminated.

If the Dodgers win Game 5, I'm all-in on the Houston bandwagon. Great organization that does things the right way. If the Nationals win Game 5, I'm all-in on the Rays winning the AL because I don't see how the Nats could ever beat the Astros in a hypothetical World Series.

Didn't they cheat a while ago? Didn't they hack the Cards prospect database or something? Or am I thinking of someone else?

Other way around. The Cardinals hacked the Astros.

Can't believe the Braves let their season come down to Folty. Braves are rattled early.
