They will put everybody in one area, probably on the 3B side of the park for a better view of the scoreboard. It's gonna be great time.

Honestly, that's a toss up. Dodgers have a ton of pressure, but they'll be back here next year and probably the year after that.

Nationals, on the other hand, have the demons of being one of the most talented franchises in history to accomplish nothing knocking at their door. What appears to be a third time going over the luxury tax and nothing substantial to show for it. Prime, once in a generation talent, and an inability to win a 5 game series. The Nats window is slamming shut.

Well we certainly felt it with previous Game 5's in the NLDS with homefield.

What a game last night. Best one of the post season so far. We exorcised some demons. We got Rich Hill out of the game early. Then sent the Dodgers two best relievers packing (Maeda, Urias). Then Scherzer with the legendary performance. Then Zimm with the huge dinger. Rendon seems to have gotten on track knocking runs in at every opportunity. Everything just fell into place in this game.

Here's hoping Strasburg has an encore performance in store for us.

Except they rebuilt in that time too. If they had maxed payroll this whole time, I would agree. But they didn't. They rebuilt. They have a ton of young, controllable talent, and two of their three most important pieces are locked up long term.

Well, I bet we were favorites on at least 2 of the previous game 5s.

I have no idea how to read all that.  Does the 1.5 spread mean that if someone bets on the Dodgers, and the Dodgers win by 1 run, that the bettor loses the bet?

Positive number = what you get if you bet $100 and the team you bet on wins
Negative number = what you need to bet to get $100 if they win.

So if you bet $100 on the Nats, and they win, you get $232 (your $100 + $132).
If you bet $152 on the Dodgers, and they win, you get $252

I believe the spread takes into account odds of winning/losing by a set number of runs (in this case 1.5).

Total = total # of runs

Bottom line, we're big underdogs.
