I also heard a rumor that MLB is going back to the older "unjuiced" baseballs for the postseason.

All pitchers report to IL with blisters.

Did MLB even acknowledge that the balls are different?

Manfred did...sketchy with the details though IIRC...

People need hours to debate The Suzuki Issue (Gomes starts: "Max is crap with Gomes"; Suzuki starts: "Suzuki can't throw! Every runner will steal second and third, and maybe even a new base installed between second and third for them to steal!").

The Gomes-Suzuki decision was a true 50-50 proposition (defense vs. offense).  If Suzuki (or Soto) is throwing, they are choosing to run every time.  They don't normally run on Gomes at all (unless the pitcher is ignoring the runner).

Except it's not that simple.  Scherzer's ERA is 2 runs lower with Suzuki.  I wouldn't be surprised if Suzuki comes out when Max comes out, especially if the Nats are ahead, but I think it's more about Max than anything else.

Yeah.  I'm not a huge Martinez fan, but I wouldn't change a thing with that lineup.

The DVR functionality went out completely and I've been having numerous freezeups while watching TV so the helpful Indian on the Verizon webchat got me a new replacement just in time for tonight's big one.  :)

if you are a FioS customer, you can use the FiOS TV, or WTBS or Fox Sports apps to watch the game on your phone/tablet

(that is unless your tablet is obsolete. :). )

There was a cold bug going around the clubhouse a few days ago. I remember Robles being out from the 2nd game against the Indians I think because of it?

Glad FP is not announcing tonight.  We'd never hear the end of it.

Can't wait to get home to start drinkin' whiskey and light the grill  :whip:
