I got in on a Flex Pack for Spring Training games with great seats today...

https://www.mlb.com/nationals/spring-training?partnerId=ed-14532693-1175768433

If anyone want's a pair of seats for St. Patrick's Day, March 17th, in Section 109, (directly behind home plate and in the shade) Row X, seats 10-11...lemme know.  I will let them go at face value of $34.00 each.

These are mailed to me and I will send them out as soon as I receive them.  I may also have a pair of seats available for March 13th in section 109 as well...haven't decided that yet...

It was more off-topic/case of mistaken identity than overtly political, just wasn't a better place to merge it.

I am bringing my grandson, gonna decide which game this weekend and get the tickets. He watched the World  Series games before and after school (screw you mlb for making it impossible for little kids to watch these games!) and he is beyond psyched for this as am I. His dad can have him for football and basketball but I do believe this grandma has recruited a new Nats fan :)

We have tickets to the games on 11th and 12th of March and those may be all we stay for...

Individual game tickets don't go on sale until the 9th of December at noon...which is why I bought the tickets as a 4 game flex pack.  The Yankees game is gonna be crazy on the 12th.

is there a limit on how many flex packs you can get?  I'm guessing it is a 1 time code.  I'll need to get everyone's orders in our group. It never ends.

Not that I know of.  There is no code - anyone can buy them right now.  You have to pick at least 4 games and the same number of tickets to each of those...

So you can't get 2 tickets to March 11th, and 6 tickets to March 12th with the same flex pack...that sort of thing...

This is not associated with Nats SPH's...

I can't see why you couldn't buy as many flex packs as you'd like...they mail the paper tickets in January.

We'll be in Orlando from the 8th to the 19th of March, it looks like a 2.5 hour drive from there to WPB though..... Not sure if I can convince the family to go down for a day.,,   ;)

My recommendation for spring training is to get there early in the morning, walk around the back fields where the guys are all practicing, then watch the minor league games for free.  The stadium is nice but you pay quite a bit to maybe see the starters play for a couple of innings.

So I have never done a spring training game but realize it could be a nice break from a NY winter, especially given our WS status.

What else do you guys do when you are down there? Where do you stay?

I lived in Miami before and have no desire to take two kids down that way as a build up for a trip like this.

There's not much else to do in WPB, or even in PB. Expensive meals in PB.

We stay in Cocoa Beach at a funky little eight unit hotel and do a couple of games in different locations. One at BPotPBs, but this year we'll do Jupiter, maybe Port St. Lucie.

It's usually a nice break from the weather, but we had a really cold year once, too.

I'd love to go, but I doubt I can with the baby.

I hate the cold and always loved the feeling of getting out of the cold north east for a week.

If anybody is a golf fan, the Honda Classic is the weekend of Feb. 28.  They usually get a good field.

Scherzer heading to Florida just after New Year's Day to begin his throwing program.  This short off-season is going to feel like the day after Daylight Savings goes into effect.

They should just lock him up until April. I have a bad feeling about him throwing early.
