Buzzkill.
Truth
Last night was just one game just as Monday's blowout loss is.  They are going to make the wild card.  Time to get the bullpen on track.

All of this is gold, but my favorite has got to be the replies from Mets fans.

This one also is good.

So all the trash talking from Mets fans last night at the park (and now online) refers to low attendance at Nats Park and that the Nats have not won a playoff series.

that's fabulous, what was the post about "zero class, just what you'd expect from the Nats" about?

11-10. Just how we all thought the deGrom/Scherzer matchup would go.

Scherzer gave up four runs. Hudson and Elias looked terrible.
Got to say that I was not even as p.o'd about the pitching through the top of the 9th as I was about the absolute brainlocked, boneheaded play after play.  I mean, the Soto overthrow of 1st trying to double off a runner early (fortunately, no bases advanced), Matt Adams on the base paths turning a 2d and 3d, 1 out situation into a 1st and 2d where the next hitter hits into a DP, the dropped foul pop, the Turner botched double play, and I'm still forgetting another one.  Then to see Hudson needed in the 9th and blowing up right before the Mets series, I was never more disgusted at a game and the way they were playing.  I was OK  with Elias starting the 9th (can go multiple innings as a former starter, needs to get lefties for this team because of no LOOGY, etc...), but this was just so painfully bad that when my friend made noises about getting ready to go, I just left.

It was actually fun on the metro ride home. By the time we got to L'Enfant and everyone's phones worked, we saw the result and folks saw the video of Suzuki's homer.  On the ride home, everyone just laughed about how bad the Nats had looked and then to find out they came back.  I'll gladly take a NANF for leaving for an ending like this.

Yes, I blew it but I get to laugh at myself, which is great!

It might be the dancing in the dugout. I've gotten some flack about that from other NL East fans.

There's been a few games over the years like that. Miami Heat fans left early before Ray Allen's 3 tied the Spurs with 1 second left, etc. But, But for 8 innings, it was a competitive ballgame; - the Nats were still right there at 5-4 until the 9th. Maybe it takes a game like this to re-focus on the basics. In the end, it was a legitimate celebration waiting at home plate for Suzuki!

I honestly don't think we've ever done this, but should I break this GDT around Bluestreak's post $451 on page 19 and put everything after that (except OC's post) into the Clubhouse?  I feel we are going to want to talk about this one for a long time so I don't want to lock this thread completely.
