Garcia either starts in the majors or is in the minors, and the Nats are praying he's in the minors. That's the Jordy Mercer signing. But let's not turn this into a Garcia thread or else some mod for the Farm will have to start moving posts.
Q for me is when do you move Antuna and / or Garcia off SS? One way to play things is to assign Garcia to Rochester and Antuna to Harrisburg and let both play SS as Turner re-signing insurance. I think Harrisburg is an aggressive assignment for Antuna since he'd essentially be skipping A ball based on his alternative site performance. I'd be astounded if he's assigned any higher, and if he's not on the same team as Garcia (or Cluff), then he should still play SS.
They both need to play SS, and those levels seem right (if not Wilmington for Antuna, at least to start). Neither one has proven he can hit enough to play anything but SS, so you give them the chance to do that and also to show they can stick at SS if not - and neither has shown that, either, although I think at least Garcia can.
does Cluff figure into this somehow? He's a college boy, so you think they would want to play him. Sounds like Garcia at Rochester, Cluff starts at Harrisburg, Antuna at Wilmington, and then figure they get bumped up a level if there are injuries in MLB and they perform at the initial assignment. Leaves open a chance for Antuna to push past Cluff if he plays well in Wilmiington.
He figures into it in the sense that they're your 3 SS prospects. He's older than Antuna, but Antuna's also been in the system longer and was at Hagerstown a year earlier, before Cluff was drafted and Antuna got hurt. But Cluff's already 24, so you can't really stick him lower than AA if you think he's any sort of actual prospect. Lord knows what that means for 2021.

Antuna at SS, Garcia at either third or second.
Garcia should be playing SS regularly if he's in the minors. I'd rather he be in AA playing SS than AAA playing 2B.
if they are moving somebody off SS at AAA, wouldn't you think it'd be Antuna?
