Not that there's any positive about the braves beating the mets, but at least it's deflated the balloon the mets were riding and all the talk about them going to the postseason.

i don't expect to win the NL east - catching the braves is just too tough at this point, they haven't slowed down - so i'd rather them knock our competitors for the WC down, especially the mets.

the braves are a good team and have had a big lead on us for a while. we choked away some big games against them especially but they've been cruising along without many dips. we've played .667 ball for 3 months - i can't blame the team when they've won at a ridiculous pace for half the season and still haven't gained any ground.
