That inning could be huge for the whole series. 40 pitches for Lester. Hopefully will tax the bullpen all weekend.

SF hasn't been around for a while but his influence is still around. We still call "game" and "season" early. white zin references pop up from time to time. mindfact is still going strong. braves refuse to lose is back in circulation

Wrigley is nice for the first time. After that, the charm wears off. Crowded concourses, small seats, no cupholders, small bathrooms, etc. I sat next to some Cubs fans once who would just as soon tear it down.

Nats Park is a perfect fit for DC. None of that cliche, neo-retro brick that would stick out in DC.
Nats park built by bureaucrats for rich lobbyist buddies. Wrigley built when ballparks were built for fans. Brick and greenery vs concrete and plastics.

Well I don't know about perfect. Remember when they hyped it up as "the best sightlines in baseball"? They really didn't think it through when those sightlines were so easily obstructed. Also, it's great that the stadium is on the Anacostia river, but it's closed off, so you can't even see or feel the (breeze) river. And, it's a cheap rip-off of the Philles stadium too! I hate to admit it, but Camden yards and PNC Park are much nicer baseball ballparks.

How are sightlines "easily obstructed?"

Camden Yards is overrated. Closed concourses, seats pointed the wrong way, no cupholders, etc. Never been to PNC Park and never will.

EDIT: Sorry, yes, PNC Park is awesome. I was thinking you were talking about the Citizens Bank.

Agree. If you have to imitate, at least imitate something aesthetic.

If the pitch cast on Gameday is to be believed, Lester was leaving the ball up a lot and even the outs were sharply hit.

Best thing about PNC is the location.

I didn't think it was possible to get so many cliches into just three sentences.

I can far more easily see going there than the dump in Atlanta.

I was thinking Citizens Bank. PNC is a very nice park. Feels very intimate.
