This year's AFL schedule runs from September 18 through October 26.  So far no Nationals yet announced.  I'll update once they reveal rosters.  This year the Nationals players will be on the Surprise Saguaros, managed by the one and only Stubby Clapp (Yes, that is seriously the name of the manager, he's the 1B coach in STL).

I think Sterling Sharp will go to make up some innings he lost this year.

My guess is no on Cate. Hes already topped 130 innings after pitching a combined 104 last year.

I think Sharp is a good one. Needs the innings, and it's a way to challenge him.

I'd like to see what Drew Ward has there. Maybe Joan Baez. See if he can harness his stuff into a pen piece next year. Jakson Reetz is another one I'd like to see.

Garcia named 15th overall:

15. Luis Garcia, SS, Surprise (Nationals No. 2/MLB No. 91)
Garcia scuffled in Double-A this season as a 19-year-old but looked better in the Fall League. Though he has yet to tap into his solid raw power, the rest of his tools all could be at least above average once he's fully developed.

Is Reetz available in the rule 5 draft?

Seems with all the free agents, the Nats can add a lot of guys to the 40 man if they want to.
