We get nice and freaked tomorrow specifically because we're playing the Cubs and MLB bows down to them:

Quote
Beginning with the 2018 championship season, no Club shall be scheduled or rescheduled to start a game prior to 5 P.M. when one of the Clubs played a game the prior evening in a different city with a start time of 7 P.M. or later, except as follows...

up to six instances per season where the traveling Club is traveling to Chicago to play the Cubs and the in-flight time does not exceed 2.5 hours.

Cool rule MLB. We'll be lucky to get into the hotel at 2 a.m. and have to be at the ballpark by 930/10 AM while the Cubs are rested and ready to go. Love when the league intentionally allows the Cubs to have an advantage.

Yes. From the CBA. To be fair, Chicago ordinance forbids Friday night games at Wrigley.

Why not? It's not like they would drink all day on a Friday. Oh, wait a minute.

Cubs are easily the most underrated hateable franchise in sports. Now especially that they've won. Fans are horrible, they still act like they're scrappy underdogs and their ownership group is pretty terrible (though that's common in sports). Theo gets worshipped no matter what, though I guess he's earned that.

They could at least force the proceeding game to start at 4 or earlier when playing the Cubs on Fridays.

Then they should change the ordinance or fold the team.  Unfair advantage given to the Cubs 100%

I hope Davey complains tomorrow that MLB allowed this charade to happen. A 7 p.m. start the day before a 1 p.m. game in which a team has to travel is such bullcrap and blatantly giving the Cubs an advantage. Davey should make a loud point that his guys are exhausted tomorrow and that this scheduling is directly affecting one team in a tight WC race.
