Rendon pointing out the low attendance.
Phillies fans will embrace him next year.

I don't get the problem with what he said. All he said was that he the team needs fans to come out to the stadium. Same crap Strasburg said the other day.

He never said that.

This guy blows off the chance to represent the town in the AS Game (no matter how we feel about the decision).     Then he thinks we should show up and cheer for him/them.     You play ball.    We'll do what we feel like.
Why would the people at the game be pissed off?  They are already there. It’s the rest of you.  :hysterical:

It's always the fans' fault.     :couch:

It's not a problem at all.    It's unbecoming to incessantly whine about it.    The team should start a WNTF.

But he didn't whine. He said "we need ya'll to come out, call your friends and come out"

Yeah, no kidding.  This doesn't seem like something that should be a thing.

It's beginning to sound like a team talking point.

Maybe. But it was Maloney that brought up the "packed house".

That's it.   They're the ones making it a thing with the constant chatter about it.    Leave it alone.   It'll work out.

Attendance is down this year. They notice. Maybe the Lerners promised him less deferred money if he could increase attendance.

The MASN group is just as bad.   FP harps on "the crowd" a lot.

Three up in the wild card in the loss column.  Three back of the Braves in the loss column.

We're down 4000/game from last year.   Phillies are yup 7,000 a game.  We're playing way more exciting baseball for a long, sustained period.

Over-rated, love him or hate him, all that, Bryce sells tickets.  It probably annoys some players who were used to playing in front of bigger crowds coming to watch Bryce strike out :-)
