Weird -- that wasn't a swing.
His bat was pointing inside first base before he brought it back.

If you changed this to Taco Bell, Bookman would be good with it.
Also, it needs to  be bigger

The walk is the killer part of this appearance.   Solo HR, and who cares.
I think Rainey can be brought into a desperate, high leverage situation.  But if you need someone to throws strikes, he's not the man.

Man, I'd have liked to have seen one of the other guys close with a 3 run lead, and Doolittle having a taxing series.  We have a couple other guys capable of probably doing it.

Yeah, I was thinking along the same lines.  Do managers not have some kind of access to win probability by situation metrics for going to pitchers?  ie, up by a lot late, bring in the guy who never walks and pitches to contact.  Guys on 2nd and 3rd, up by one in the 7th, 2 out, bring in a guy like Rainey?

I was thinking Hudson or Strickland.   I guess they probably worked a bunch this weekend too.  Give Rodney a short leash, sure.   He's been good more often than not.

Maybe a bit too soon to write off Robles as a bust?

Some managers have that in-game computer management tool.

Doolittle for the first 2 outs and then bring in Rodney.... Keep that option from vesting!
