2020 Schedule
« Topic Start: August 12, 2019, 01:02:39 PM »
MLB schedule released

https://www.mlb.com/nationals/schedule/2020-03

Opening Day March 26 @ Mets
Home Opener April 2 vs Mets

The beginning of the Season in a bear. April 10-12 is a series at the Dodgers and then April 16-23 is a Homestand with 4 vs the Cubs and 3 vs. the Dodgers.

The stretch before the ASB also sucks: @Cardinals, then vs. Astros, vs. Cardinals and vs. Phillies.

We get the AL West this year
2 games at home vs. Mariners (2 Away)
3 at home vs. A's
3 at home vs Astros
3 away vs. Angels. So no Mike Trout at Nats Park, which sucks

Yes. Since I leave for the 4th every year, I imagine I will be able to get a premium for those seats.  :hysterical:

So in other words we're starting 2020 with an 0-6 record :mg:

Oops, 2-7, didn't see a Marlins series sandwiched in there :lmao:

It means watching fewer games with the ESPN announce crew.  No complaints.

I'm hoping that they don't have home Sunday night games due to metro.

No one thought they'd rival the Yankees for appearances, but zero?

Their marketing geniuses can't even highlight a rising star in Soto who has already performed on the biggest stage, let alone a team that will lure in the causal fan for the first half of the season because they won the title. Acres of fail.

That I agree with; Players want to get away and people want a nice afternoon game

SNB blows. And it blows worse in DC with Metro and such.

That entire crew of Vasgersian, A-Rod, and Mendoza might be the worst in national TV history.  Mendoza kisses A-Rod's ass.  Nauseating.

Mendoza seems to have little to offer. A-Rod actually comes across as smart, but he's either too over-prepared or afraid to say the wrong thing, so his delivery is canned and stilted. He sounds like he's reading prepared statements or delivering a classroom lecture rather than offering commentary. Matty V is Matty V. You either like him or you don't, and if you don't, his shtick can get tiresome, like the Hot Stove soundboard.

and light sparklers for every curveball.  For change ups, they'll have the vendors yell "Free Beer here."

We can hope for a lot of change ups.
