Pop up lost in the lights.  Soto should've gone ALMOST halfway, but just stood near second base as the ball dropped..



those are usually caught, there was no need to do what you're suggesting, the only thing it would result in is hustling back to the base, this is hindsight baserunning

Yeah. I am usually in favor of staying close to the base. Makes it easier to tag if ball is caught. Which it almost always is.

There would've been no tagging on that play, especially with two outs (if the ball was caught) and the depth of the fly ball.

Acuna, Jr would've scored on that easy.
