FP and Bob are MASN employees. I think Angelos is pretty happy with the quality of the pair.

Yes, I’m sure he is. Geeeeeesh!   :hang:

If you get hurt running the bases, perhaps baseball isn't your sport. Or go to the AL.

I gotta agree with this. Although not sure how being in the AL keeps you from running bases.

we have 3 players who i would consider incapable of running the bases :lmao: (adams, zimm & howie - all 3 for different reasons)

No one cares if a DH jogs.

I'd add Suzuki to that. I've been saying this for a while. This team effectively has 4 DHs on its roster.

It’s not running the bases that gets them hurt. It’s the part where they crash into the catcher. It’s like fear of flying. It’s not flying that your afraid off. It’s crashing.

For me, it's knowing they can't make it but they're hustling enough to think they can.     Bad things can happen when your third base coach doesn't know, or recognize in the heat of the moment, the runner's limitations.      On occasion, the third base coach has got to just stop that rumbling old man comin' around third.    A good 3rd base coach has better judgement than Sendley.

It's just an interview.  We're stuck with him.

Here we are not even 12 hours from clinching the NL "Pennant" :mg: and you're going on with this pettiness about the very remote possibility of Sendley leaving? If he gets the job, great I'm happy for him but if not let's savor the next stop of fandom and that's seeing our team go to the freaking World Series!

I think Bogar managed the Astros before Bo and Hinch.

No. Interim manager for Rangers after Ron Washington quit unexpectedly.

I find it a little disconcerting that our staff is making plans for other jobs when they should all be drawing up plays and getting the offense, defense and special teams ready for the series. :)

We have a World Series team and coaching staff and you want to dismantle that? What are you dense?  :mg:

I'm afraid that even if Sendley doesn't get another offer and Rizzo ends up firing him his replacement (Bo??) will know why Sendley was fired and will hold the runners at 3rd more often than not. Just because.

Fire...Chip Hale?

Per Kolko:

Nats make a few changes to their coaching staff, but most of the faces are the same:

-Tim Bogar moves from 1B coach to bench coach
-Chip Hale moves from bench coach to 3B coach
-Bob Henley moves from 3B coach to 1B coach.
