Sure do. I have 'em both on ignore.
I don't recall ever seein' the word "anguish" on this site.
So, for the first time in generations, we got to experience the night-after-night dementia of a baseball team that mixes infernal anguish with just enough delight and hope to keep us hooked. No season truly fulfills its purpose unless your team leaves you with a sense of loss, a gnawing what-might-have-been. Unless, at some fanciful point, you imagine you team in October, you aren't really getting the full adult dosage. Richard III would've traded his kingdom for a horse. (And a knight to be named later.) By September, Washington might've hocked a major monument to get Tomo Ohka and Claudio Vargas back in its rotation.
First instance was in 2005 in a quote from a Boz column. There are about 6 pages overall, not too many for nearly 15 years of history.http://www.wnff.net/index.php?topic=648.msg12072#msg12072
hence edit: not that there's anything wrong with that, natch

So we’re guaranteed a win. You have a kid going to camp?
On a game like this one there should be no dugout dancing or baby shark
I had forgotten about that. Wasn't there a time when that smiley had a picture of Belliard on it?
That was before Minty kidnapped me from the MLB site and brought me here. Anything since 2007?
THere was another one when describing Nick Johnson's agony over having his femur snapped in his collision with Austin Kearns. I know you wanted to remember that.http://www.wnff.net/index.php?topic=2023.msg48584#msg48584

Why? It’s like the Kershaw/Ross mismatch the other day. We all knew what was coming.
That was ugly. I got here on August 16, 2007.
Welcome LB, you'll find ( or may have already found ) that we have an eclectic mix of fans here, some former Expos fans, some native DC types (like me), and others from around the continent, even some overseas.I know you're loving that XM thing. I don't go anywhere without it. Do your cows like Charlie and Dave? I'm not aware of any native french speakers on the forum, perhaps they could speak up if there are any. Kenzafan seems fairly bilingual when he feels up to it . Back in the early days of the MLB board, a number of the Expos fans migrated there when the Expos board was shut down by MLB, but they gradually faded away. Yesterday, in fact, I bumped a couple of threads on that board (at the request of another poster) that showed conversations in french by some displaced Expos fans. The threads in November 2004 showed a mix of french and english, of joy at getting a team, and anguish over having lost one. Extremes of emotion, for sure.Again, welcome. You can't be accused of jumping on the bandwagon of a winning team, but like they say on Wall St, buy low, sell high.
