« Topic Start: July 27, 2019, 12:53:17 PM »
Someone mentioned on last night's GDT that posters are afraid to step up if they think the Nats are overmatched for that game. Like they care about their GDT record. Seriously.

Damn and here I’ll be at the Bull Run winery so I’ll miss Grace’s historic start and Dave’s foray into using an opener.

As bad as Grace is, Ross’ ERA is 3 runs higher. I would expect they give Grace an inning and then hope to get a couple innings out of Ross. Then pray for rain I guess.

Stepping up for the most lopsided pitching matchup in modern baseball history: Grace Vs. Kershaw.

Playing with house money.

I appreciate your sunny outlook. See what I did there?

Really early today but did Dave just phone in the loss today?   Starting Grace appears so?

Think positively. He's thinking out of the box. Grace vs heavy LH lineup for one inning. Then Ross probably.

assuming the dodgers go with the lineup that has 3 out of the top 4 hitters being lefty, starting Grace isn't the dumbest move.  Grace has been pretty effective v. lefties.  73 faced, 1 HR, 2 BB, 19 Ks.  He bites against righties (93 faced, 7 HRs, 6BB, 8K).  This guy really is pitching like a lefty specialist.  I've seen worse hunches.  but Turner may take him deep.

Is this like a Rosenthal davey scenario where davey is gonna force the issue to get Grace off the team?

I'm leaving for the game at 2:30 or so. The best thing about being there live is you can't see the ump effing up strikes call that well.

We're doing openers and bullpenning now?   It seems like a decent idea for today, I guess.

Damnit, I went to the Lost Rhino brewery and I made it home for the game.
