Davey obviously doesn't trust Guerra. He went situational but he forgot that you need to have a deep bullpen to do that.

Watch him bring in Grace for the 9th.    :panic:

Except for the SoCal diaspora.  Salt Line is about to have the biggest rush on frozen drinks in their history in about 40 minutes

I have a bottle of Captain I. The hotel refrigerator...

Bullcrap.  NOBODY else in baseball brings Barraclaufh in to that situation.  NOBODY.
Only ONE reliable guy in the bullpen.

So basically, if we had an average NL bullpen, we'd be in first place

It was the chain of moves that was inexcusable.   No reason to pull Guerra there, if Barraclaugh was the rightie you were going to, if it kept going.

Even that doesn't explain some of dave's moves.

Exactly. People nag about everyone except Doolittle because they can't be trusted in high leverage situations. You have to use the guys you have on your active roster. :smh:

Yes you do but Barraclough off the IR.    I'd rather see Grace.    :panic:      He doesn't bring any expectations.

Bringing in a guy (with an ERA over 6 pre-injury) who hasn’t pitched against major league batting in six weeks against the best team is baseball with two men on in a tied 8th inning is bar none the worst managerial decision I have ever seen.

What's sickening is that a useless pitcher (Barraclough) is under team control for two more years.

If you're on the active roster that means you should be ready to go. It's not like this is his first action in MLB. I personally would've kept Guerra in but that's because I'm not obsessed with lefty/lefty matchups

I don't see how they can contend with this bullpen. Rizzo needs to be held accountable.

I'm with ya on the roster spot point but even we know he wasn't ready for a pressure spot.

When did Brraclough get back on the roster?  And why?
