Lets keep rolling and see what happens when we face the Braves. At least we can make them earn it!

Absolutely. Make 'em sweat a little.

Sorry to the superstitious but here are the postseason schedules. If things hold true to what they are today, Nats would host a WC game on Oct. 1.

Save the date.

We can’t catch Atlanta but the Mets and Phillies are falling back into our review mirror

My ideal scenario would have the Nats face the Phillies in the WC game...after the Phillies beat the Cubs in the 163rd game...

Mine is simply to make the playoffs. Considering where we were in April to even be talking about this is amazing.

I know the WC game is considered the postseason, but it won't feel like they did crap if they lose the WC game...

Same here.

Keep the whole thing going.  Maybe replace Rodney with Aaron Barrett.

Barring something unforeseen, i think we can all make plans to be at Nats Park on October 1st. Should be an electric atmosphere.

Premature.  Schedule's been relatively easy in August.  After the upcoming Miami series things get tough.   We have Mets, Altanta, Twins, Atlanta, Cardinals - 16 games.  I don't think you can realistically expect to win more than eight of those.  I do agree that out wildcard chances are excellent, but I wouldn't yet make plans for it to be a home game.

... and after that 16 game stretch, a brief break (Miami) followed by Phillies and Cleveland.  Cleveland could be tough to end the season, if they're still in the division hunt.

hey, they're playing the Nats, too.  I think it is as realistic to expect better than 8 wins as it is to expect fewer.

Which means, statistically, the expected number of wins is 8.

The Mets are NO HELP tonight.  DeGrom picked a bad time to cough up four runs.  There goes my prediction that the Mets are headed for the World Series.  If I had a tail, it would be between my legs.  Looks like the Mets are done for the year.  And now the Cubs will be only 2.5 games behind.  It's going to be a grind from this point on.

I’m enjoying the Mets collapse after they got back in the race. Much more fun than if they had just continued as the season was progressing. Still time for the Cubs to fade also.

Cubs have the second best run differential of any NL WC team. They ain't going there.

NL Wild Card is set, barring the Nationals collapse

Don't count the Phillies out, although it would be so sweet for the Phillies to fade.  That would make my year.
