they never got Haidar into the game.  Not in for the save in the 9th. :shrug:

I'm surprised they didn't just intentionally walk everyone in for the walk off run and get on the plane once the Cards won.

I lost track of the division tie-breaker.  Did St L have it locked regardless once they won?

Yes. They were up a game ahead of the Brewers entering today with this being the final day.

Milwaukee blew it yesterday with a 2 out blown save homerun in the 9th and loss in extras. Only chance today was to force game 163 tomorrow with a Cardinals loss and Brewers win.

Uh. No. If tied they would have played a one game playoff.

That's what I just said lol

Brewers would have to win and Cardinals lose to force game 163.

So with Cardinals winning it didnt matter what the Brewers did
