Still.  Turner wants to drive in runs so let him.  He also hasn’t been running much.  Let Eaton work some counts.

Hitting behind Dozier and Gomes he will have no runs to bat in. I would put Eaton leadoff. Robles second. Turner 6.

But for now I trust in Dave’s genius.

I think that is the move too.   Turner is a better hitter with runners on base.   Eaton is a better hitter with no one on.

Turner has a .300 OBP with 28 strikeouts and 2 walks when leading off an inning!!   His numbers were even worse in that situation last year.  He's not a lead off hitter.
