the last of the really badly blown high pitching draft picks. That said, he's just 25, so there's always a chance at being a late blooming reliever if he just can stay healthy. In reading that scouting report in the first post, the funny thing is they praise his delivery as  having no mechanical red flags and his finishing pitches fairly clean. You'd think he'd not be injury prone.

He’s thrown a grand total of 95 innings in the minors  hopefully he can finally stay healthy

- He's a reliever now
- 2.70 ERA
- 3.68 WHIP
- Opponents hitting .438 against him
- 3R allowed, just 1 earned
- 3Ks, 5BBs

Here's to hoping he figures it out and stays healthy as a reliever.

Would be great to see him turn into a contributing middle reliever, he really has had a lot of bad luck with the COVID year and injuries.

starting to settle in a bit as a reliever though he's still walking a lot of batters.  Last four appearances: 5.1 IP, 0ER, 4BBs, 2Ks 3H. For the year he's made 10 appearances, throwing 13.1 innings with a 3.38 ERA and 2.10 WHIP.  Still only 24.

Why? He's not blocking anyone. He missed two years to injury and covid.

See no problem with him continuing to stay and work through the system as a reliever. Lots of guys, particularly relievers, make their MLB debuts later than 22.

Not a long track record of success, with his best performances tied to luck.

Gotta see if he can stick at a higher level before you choose to renew or not renew this winter.  He has one more year before MiLFA, I think, but I must confess I don't care because I saw him in person and verified there was an actual human form associated with "Mason Denaburg."
