Maybe the eye surgery really helped.

I think it has.

Rauch's magic in the 10th tonight was eerily similar to Colome's bases loaded 3-0 count in Florida a few months ago.  The odds of getting out of either inning without giving up a run were 10% or less.
Yeah, if I was a Padres fan...I would be friggin pissed right now.  There's no excuse for them to have not scored against the Wookie.  And by the way, I wouldn't call his performance in the tenth as "magic", since he walked the leadoff batter.  That's not "magic", that's recovering from a "oh-crap!" moment.   :?

well, I'm a "glass half full" type of guy.  It's good for the sanity.  LOL!

I hear you but just because some of us are "glass half empty" doesn't mean we're at home pulling our hair out or kicking the dog. That's just the way some of us react. You should see me playing video games

walking the leadoff batter ALWAYS penetrates your anal cavity later.

And you can NOW have that done at McDonald's... in the DRIVE-THRU!

Maybe he meant that Rauch made the strike zone disappear and then reappear  ;)

like I said earlier...maybe the fact that his contract is almost up helps.   ;)

Guzman has one year left on his contract correct?

He's a Free agent in 2009, according to the link Kenz aFan set up in another thread.  We WANT him to play this well, and he was doing it in spring training.  We'll have the money later.

Off topic: God bless Lou Piniella, the man who was too good to coach the lowly Nats.

In Chicago's game tonight, "The Atlanta Braves had just scored five runs in the inning, including one after a combination passed ball and throwing error by Michael Barrett. After the Cubs players came off the field, Zambrano confronted Barrett in the dugout, pointed to his head, and then took a swing at the catcher. His palm was open, and he slapped Barrett. Zambrano was lifted for a pinch-hitter in the fifth, and Barrett was supposed to stay in the game. But he had gone into the clubhouse and got into another fight with Zambrano there. Barrett was replaced defensively in the sixth by Koyie Hill. Cubs officials said Barrett was taken to a local hospital. His lip was cut from the clubhouse fight."

And we could have had Barrett instead of Schneider!

I know, that SUCKS.  The pitcher we are facing is due to get plastered but we will need 10+ runs with Levale on the mound.  However, Levale is also due to pitch a solid game.  We'll see.
