Catching the Braves obviously is a tall order with them up 7 games. Of course with all the remaining games against them we have more "control over our own destiny," but they're good. In reality, it's more realistic to hope to roughly split with them and aim for a wild card spot based on beating up on lesser teams. If you're splitting against the division leaders, then you should position yourself well by winning a good percentage against weak teams.
In a Wild Card game, you have to like having Max to take the ball.
