I think MAT’s chances to prove himself have come and gone. Robles is the future and MAT is getting too expensive to be a 4th outfielder for a rebuilding team.
I'm trying to figure out while you can't play Taylor in CF, Robles in RF, and let Eaton walk.

I honestly don't think he gives us a better chance to make the playoffs. I think Robles getting right does. Your best shot at the playoffs is playing Robles.

In 2017 he had a bad start and then finished really well, including playing well in the playoffs. In 2018 he had a bad start, but then started playing well with regular playing time including a decent hitting streak until Martinez benched him inexplicably. In 2019 he had a bad start but has started playing well. It’s clear he does well when he gets regular time.

If he’s playing better then he helps you win. Or he plays well and you trade him for something you need. Letting him ride the bench even in late inning situations makes no sense.

If they have a fire sale they both might go.

If Micheal Morse could articulate his thoughts, he'd be pretty good.

Shouldn't Doolittle be warming up instead of taking a nap?

I’d they do, it will be a huge loss, because I truly believe Max will get arrested for murder.

If my grandmother had balls, she’d be my grandfather.

Is that like ... if Henry Rodriguez could throw a strike, he'd be a pretty good pitcher?

No, it's like he knows what he wants to say and some of it is pretty interesting.    He just stumbles over his words.    Henry Rodriquez couldn't stumble into a strike.

I hear ya but somewhere deep down I wanna like Michael A. Taylor.    I'm serious.    I wanna see him succeed no matter what the metrics and my eyes tell me.
I am with you. He is a bit like David DeJesus. Nice ballplayer but just a depth piece on a contender.

Was the plan for Rainey in the 9th if we stayed up?   Is our 8 inning guy in close games now?  Seems he has earned it.

I hate seeing Doolittle warming up in a 4 run game.

A couple times, I do get what you are saying.  There were some interesting stories trying to get told.  Other times, it is just pure verbal diarrhea.

Rainey would get the save if he stayed in though.
