It feels like when we need a big hit from Eaton with runners on base he has awful AB's

crap bullpen until August 1st. 97 wins. And wire to wire first place.

And don’t tell me the NL east sucked. It still sucks.
:lmao: Martinez has faced better teams in his own division in the last two weeks than Baker faced in two years.

And yeah, you should win 97 games when you have a batting champion contender, a triple crown front runner, the best third baseman in baseball,  and Bryce Harper in your lineup. Oh and more talent on the pitching staff

Martinez needs to be fired but it’s certainly not the same lineup. They have about the worst production in the league from the OF. 1B and 2B are black holes. Murphy is gone. Harper is gone. Soto has regressed. Eaton has regressed. Doesn’t matter who manages them now. Time to rebuild.

He did have the same lineup last year.

How many chances?
I'm pretty sure in 30+ games, Difo had more chances than Turner has had in 11.

Except for the triple crown contender being hurt, Bryce Harper flat out not even giving a crap, and Daniel Murphy missing 2 months.

Oh and Martinez' club having to play a division that had a team over .500, and another team with a better winning percentage than Baker's club had to face in their division

How many chances?   Gotta get to 'em to have an error.    Robles and Juan Kingman have a hard time figuring out who should approach a ball.

when all is said and done that will be nothing more than a meaningless homer to pad his stats.

He did not. Zim sucked and was hurt, Harper was trash, and Murphy missed two months. The only help he got was Soto.

And Eaton, and full year of Turner. You’re not seriously arguing that’s 15 wins of difference..

Yea, actually, losing two all-star performances plus a worse bullpen plus 6 fewer starts by Strasburg, combined with a substantially better division accounts for 15 wins.

Also, he got Eaton after his leg was trashed for 95 games

 :hysterical:

Not to mention that some of those “lost performances” were due to players sucking. Which is the reason all teams lose.
