I don’t think Soto is as slow as you think he is.

If your point is you send him if he’s the tying run but hold him if your down by 2, then I think you are way off base.

He's pretty slow, and worse, his first 3 or 4 steps are terrible.  It seems like he's halfway down the line before he gets into gear.

The point is don't run yourself out of a rally. Soto is, every bit, as not fast and as poor as a baserunner as I think he is. He's basically a first baseman playing LF.

Yes. He is a bad baserunner. We've already covered this.

But even with a good jump, he's out if Almora doesn't airmail the throw. Still would have held him at third.
Don’t feel bad, I wouldn’t  expect you to know what a “two out lead” is or how to execute it properly. Soto should know but CLEARLY DOESN’T. Pathetic!!!
