So we'd be tied right now...  :smh:

I see Howie took the batting tips I gave him at breakfast yesterday seriously...  ;)

And the score would be tied now if Soto has scored. I don’t have a problem holding him. The problem is the jump he got to start with.

Doesn't matter...you go down by 2 with 2 outs in the 6th...
You don't kill a potential rally like that. Again, Henley and Soto had no idea that ball was going to be airmailed. If Soto gets the best jump he's capable of, and that throw is on target, he's out by so much he doesn't even slide.

He wasn't scoring to begin with.

You go on that hit with 2 outs 100% of the time at contact.  Even you know that...

:lmao: That's really, really funny.
It's not, but okay
Yes. He is a bad baserunner. We've already covered this.

But even with a good jump, he's out if Almora doesn't airmail the throw. Still would have held him at third.
How meaningless is that Soto run now???

If at 21 I was as poor a baserunner as Soto, no, I don't. I get held at third base.

Yes. Soto and Henley should have seen into the future and known that a good OFer in Almora was going to air mail the throw. That's totally reasonably and not at all hindsight

:lmao: at you people. We have eviscerated Henley for sending guys that had no business trying to score and now when he holds one, y'all are like, "He didn't get a good jump"

Unless he magically became Michael Taylor, Soto isn't fast enough to score on that hit.

Soto was at fault solely.   Two outs and he broke back.   No baseball IQ

I don’t think Soto is as slow as you think he is.

If your point is you send him if he’s the tying run but hold him if your down by 2, then I think you are way off base.

You send Smokey Burgess with a hit like that down 2 with 2 outs.  100% of the time...unless someone freak'd it up like Soto did...
