Between the balk, that play, and the 0-2 pitch, that's a whole lot of weird breaks(some earned, some not) going both ways.

He can't stop.  He has to make Edwards make the throw

This is also true.

At least Parra gets to lead off next inning. Maybe.

Yes. He moved into CF. MAT double-switched out of the game.

He thought he was staring Edwards in the face with the ball in his hand.

Against a LHP

Does the rule that a pitcher has to face at least one batter apply here? The AB wasn't completed.

I see the rule about facing 3 batters says or until the end of the inning. So I guess that would apply here. If it didn't you couldn't use a pinch hitter if pitcher's spot came up. Guess that makes sense.

Our bullpen pitchers look scared out there. They can’t possibly be scared of failure???

Honestly,  they are and they should be. Up until the last week or so, they've been able to hide behind their pathetic offense and that it didnt matter what they did because the offense wasnt going to put up more than 3. Its different now with Rendon and Turner back. They have a chance in games.

Now when a reliever gives up a home run, its more noticeable

Call up the entire Harrisburg bullpen. Leave Rosenthal there. Keep Doolittle.

Call up the Knights of Columbus softball league bullpen. Anything would be better than what d is trotting out there now.
