Getting rid of wall’s contract is a good return for Beal
I have a hard time believing Miami would take it. No rush for the Wiz. They will be terrible for years either way.
Wall healthy was going to be an overpay based on his performance when he signed the supermax, wall degraded at all makes it a terrible deal, wall not being able to play makes it the worst contract in the nba (maybe nba history?)
Good. C'mon Heat.
Maybe they will take Mahinmi and Dwight Howard also.
Perchance to dream .... However, I am curious to see what Howard has left. But if you're gonna clean house, clean it all out.
I’m actually looking forward to next year. Three draft choices over the last two years to watch. At least some hope even if it turns out false. Problem is they have a veteran coach who will want to win. So he will want to play vets.
Brooks seems like a fine coach for tanking. I just hope they unload Beal and pick up some decent picks. I’d personally keep wall because you aren’t using the cap space this year anyway. You can always stretch him once you need the money to free up a little cap space. More than anything, they need a gm which a vision and not a place holder- too many long term decisions have to be made
Agree. Just worry about Brooks. He kept Brown tied to the bench most of the year. Hope he gets the word.
... I’m confident in Brooks to avoid that fait
I got the feelin' Tommy Sheppard is the "unannounced" guy. He's makin' a lot of decisions to pass it all along to a new guy. IMHO Ted's made his choice.
Maybe they should have applied for a disabled front office exception also? Just kidding Tommy. https://www.bulletsforever.com/2019/7/2/20680222/2019-nba-free-agency-washington-wizards-john-wall-disabled-player-exception
Shouldn't the NBA change it to "Injured Player Exception"?

Rui looked good today.
