Connelly to turn down Wizards' GM job, stay wat Nuggets: http://cdn.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/26787074/sources-nuggets-connelly-turns-wizards

...he'd rather stay at an improving club coming off its best playoff showing in years instead of going to this lost cause of a franchise with John Wall's contract weighing everything down? My goodness, it is to wonder!

I was down at the park waxin' my vehicle when I heard this.     Who would come here?

What other job can you fail at for 16 years before getting fired?

I still think Ted had a man crush on Ernie from their NYC days (looked up to Ernie as a "hero"/court god).

Hire Tim Legler.

Interesting idea. He's current with the game and presumably has a broad range of relationships and contacts to help round out a staff.

And he has openly said he wants the job.  He was pleading for an interview.

Wary of guys with no front office or supervisory experience. See how Magic did.

Just heard an interesting comment on PTL.     How 'bout Beal to the Lakers for the number four pick?    Even the Lakers wouldn't do that.

The only really thing is Zion. The Lakers would need to kick in some players. Probably two of their young guns.

That would be fun. His old man could be the coach.

Alonzo Mourning’s son and Radford’s Ed Polite Jr work out for the Wiz:

I wonder why they workout guys who are possible second round picks when they have no second round pick?  Thanks again Ernie.

Shizz is the Shizz.

Some might make the G League team. With the state of their roster they are desperate to find cheap talent.

If they can use Beal as the sweetener to get someone to take on wall, the may have some flexibility in a couple of years- that’s probably best case though

Local kid makes good. If you can call being on the Wizards that.

Glad he's gettin' a shot.     Considering where we drafted,  I like the Hachimura addition as well.      Just hope these guys don't get the Bullets curse.

We finally got the Admiral also after all those years. They could have had a Bol Bol but passed on him as did most other teams. Interesting to see them trading into the second round instead of the other way around.

Wiki'd Hachimura.    He was born in Toyama Prefecture.     That's my M-i-L's home.      The in-laws used to get me a sweater every Christmas.    Now I'll get Hachimura gear.        BTW Toyama is W. Honshu/Japan.    :)

I like the Admiral pick.     He was probably on Ernie's short list (Vols).
