Washington Wizards 2019-2020
« Topic Start: May 13, 2019, 01:30:24 PM »
Figured it's time to start a new Wizards' thread.    Tomorrow's the lottery ping pong ball drop.    Plus, I saw this in today's Post about Steve Buckhantz:

People familiar with the interview process said Buckhantz could still return for his 23rd season calling Wizards games, but NBC Sports Washington is considering 12 candidates for the position, including NFL Network host Dan Hellie and NBC Sports Bay Area anchor Dave Feldman. The Athletic first reported on Saturday that Feldman and Hellie, both of whom have D.C. ties, are candidates for the job.

I hope Ernie represents us after all his years of service.  ;)

If Buck was going to return they would not be interviewing all those candidates.

The good news is () if we get the number one pick without Ernie, he won't be here to take a Vesely (6th overall).     Of course, Williamson's about the same age as Brown was (Jordan).      :couch:

I don't like the way this appears to be shakin' out.    Way I see it, if the Wiz get the number one pick, Buck is definitely gone.     NBCSW will have cover to do what they want.     I think Buck and Kara are a great team.     Not sure I'd watch if they brought in Feldman  ....  maybe Marty but not Dave.

I don't think I have any Wizards' gear.    I do have a few Polish internet (Polska.pl) hats that were given away when Gortat was here.

I have a Gortat action figure from some giveaway. I think it’s worth about $.99 on the internet.

Buddy and I picked up all the hats people left behind and opened a haberdashery.

Williamson to NO so they can trade the stud to the Knicks.     At least the NBA has gotten slicker about the rigged lottery.

Don’t worry about the Wiz. They will have another chance at the lottery next year.

Most seem to be saying there is a big drop off after the first three players. But it’s really a big drop off after Zion. Don’t see any sure fire stars after that. Since next year is a bust anyway would like to see them take a chance on Bol Bol or the dude from France.

Why not. Although he may turn into the modern day Shawn Bradley.

He can't hurt.    He can team up with Howard.      :couch:
