that's idioticAdams is your only 1B right now who is also considered a "big bat" you want to keep in the lineup in case you tie the game since it's only a 1 run game and it's NOT the 9th inning (if it was the 9th it made more sense). If you run Taylor then you burn two players because then you have to bring in Sanchez to play 3B and move Kendrick to 1B to replace Adams. Then you're left with your backup catcher as your remaining bench player.
