Not quite the 76 yard field goal attempt Lane Kiffin did when he wanted Al Davis to fire him but starting Bolt McCoy is a great way to dare Snyder to fire you.

Jay Gruden fired, according to Keim.

Wasting everyone's time if the interim isn't Kevin O'Connell with a mandate to play Haskins.

O'Connell trying to coach a rookie QB. That sounds about right for Snyder/Allen.

EDIT - Callahan named interim.

Oh, by the way, it's Week 5 and Preston Smith has 5.5 sacks. Glad the Redskins coaching staff was able to coach him up and utilize him so effectively.

Probably not for long.  The idiot mentality there had Gruden summoned for a 5am meeting today

If Allen isn't fired, this situation remains bleak.

I'm okay with Bill Callahan as interim over Kevin O'Connell. After six years of Jay Gruden being way too pass happy, I'd like to see some commitment to the running game once Haskins is behind center.  Don't need him killed back there. Let's see if Kevin O'Connell with a bit more freedom can earn the Freddie Kitchens bump at the end of the season. I like KOC and would like to see him given a shot, but I think hiring him means that Allen is staying. Doubt a new executive would promote the offensive coordinator of the dumpster fire he inherits.

I'd like to see the next several months committed to clearing out the trash and keeping effort guys. If someone behind the scenes is a problem, get rid of them now. I'm certain Bill Callahan is getting a great end of career financial boost for piloting this disaster through the end, so may as well earn that salary by starting the house cleaning.

Redskins must trade Trent Williams. He is one of the most valuable assets this franchise has. I'd prefer him be playing, but it isn't going to happen so may as well trade him.

If Cooley and Sheehan are right about O’Connel being an up and comer in the NFL, he’s probably gone after this season (likely as an OC away from this tire fire)- promoting him now was probably their opportunity to keep him. Instead we’re going with a dinosaur offense that didn’t work at Nebraska

Bruce Allen isn't going anywhere because he takes all the heat for Snyder. No decent up and comer HC should touch this organization.

This is a job for retreads and guys desperate enough to take any HC job. Bring back Gibbs!

Bruce Allen was hired to do one thing (new stadium) and it hasn't been a total failure yet so he's not going anywhere until that happens.  For a while people thought he was hired to be a cap guy but that whole $16M hit killed that delusion.  After the Scot "hold my scotch" firing and draft disaster no one that's not looking for a final payout is going to touch the FORESKINZ corching jerb.

Allen was hired because of his name and to be Danny boy’s drinking buddy and he’s pretty good at both
