Didn't Florida win the SE division on OT losses not too long ago?

Wonder if the Caps will have any Nats' team gear on in Nashville.

This would have been the game for them to play the Blues...

Seems like it's a theme this year.

Hotlby will be pulled and Joe B. will tell us how good the Caps do in that situation.

Holtby's elite days are definitely behind him, but holy crap our D is bad. Guys like Carlson, Jensen and Orlov are fine for the most part but as a team we're just a sloppy mess late in games.

We had the same exact problem last year. I'm not really worried about the team because I think they'll get it together, but it's an annoying problem to have.

Also our schedule to start the year is brutalllll. We've basically only played legit contenders so far. Need to get some of those Detroit and Ottawa games ASAP.

Caps game today is at 5:00. Damn annoying to schedule an afternoon game on a work day, but I guess it accidentally worked out well in terms of when the Nats game is.

Which made for a nice fast commute with the cruise control set at 70. Still, it’s rather stupid of the team to schedule a game based on the idea that people don’t have to work just because it’s a federal holiday, seeing as how most of the private sector ignores Columbus Day and Veterans’ Day. There was one time ten or twelve years ago when the Caps scheduled 1:00 PM games on those two days (both weekdays) and they got a ton of complaints and had a lot of empty seats. I wonder if there’s been too much staff turnover so the institutional memory has been lost.

Mountain and molehill come to mind. Folks can seek their seats to someone who wants the tickets if they can’t go. Lots of schools are off so many take a vacation day for that reason.
