what's the record for WPs in an inning?

5.  Ankiel was the last one to do it, after he went off the rails.

This is the absolute worst example of manager ignorance.  Rosenthal should not even be on the roster and Martinez allowed him to give the Rockies the game.   Need a new manager.

The game was over in all likelihood for this spineless bunch.  The ignorance is still having him on the roster.  Of course as soon as we release him he puts it together and saves 45 games with a sub 2.00 ERA.  Lilliquist is the problem I think.

That’s on the GM. You can’t have a pitcher on the roster you cannot ever use. They would lose anyway.

I'm sure dave is proud of the guys for battling...

Did FP really say a 6 run deficit is like 4?   :hysterical:

Every win this team gets feels like a miracle and every loss seems inevitable.

I thought it was like 10 because the Rockies were likely to score another 4.

Again, I remind you we have the 5th best bullpen in baseball:

"Sean Doolittle, Kyle Barraclough and Trevor Rosenthal give the Nats three experienced closing arms in the back of their 'pen. Rosenthal will be a major X-factor this season, after missing all of 2018 following Tommy John surgery. He had some command issues in camp, but his stuff has looked sharp. The Nats recently made another solid addition in Tony Sipp, a lefty who can be used as a southpaw specialist but who actually has fairly neutral platoon splits in his career." - MLB.com

davey is proud of these fightin' losers.  He'll probably give them all participation medals after this one.  He's such a great guy like that.

Can't wait for Mark Lerner's "Here's why I didn't authorize a fire sale" letter when we're three games below 500 on mid July.

Nice approach with that AB, wearing down the closer with the long at bat. If the ball had had eyes and found a hole KS would have set us up perfectly for the win there. Can't win em all
