Harper left because of ego - sure he was going to do better.  But the end result shows otherwise

No thanks. I'd like Rendon to stay. I'm fairly confident that the Lerners and their envelop are the biggest reason Harper left.

The bullpen didn’t lose this game, it was the Rendon bobble that cost us 2 runs.

Harper wanted to stay in DC they delayed contacting him when they did he and his wife were celebrating they wanted to keep him. Then came the gutless BS offer with deferred money for decades he us not stupid he knew they wanted to go with Soto. Typical Rizzo Nats insult just like they screwed with Dusty.

If Harper wanted to be here so freaking bad, he shouldn’t have mentally left at the start of May 2018.

He was here only in the derby otherwise.

Everything else was trying to hit homers to raise his value for free agency. Other than health, he’s the biggest reason for the failure of 2018.

He didn’t play for the Nationals, the city of D.C. and surrounding area, the fan base in 2018. He played for Bryce Harper

1 he wanted to be a Nat
2 Nats didn't want him gave a fake contract offer
3 his play was not an issue for any team
4 hate on him all you want and hate on Dusty but never hate on the real problem Rizzo Lerners
5 you can see what he wanted from the deal with Phillies he wanted to stay in 1 place for a long time for fair money

He hit better after the all star break. He had long dry spells in other years. The team wanted to move on. Let it rest.

Since no one claimed it and time was of the essence I started it. Besides I like having a themed GDT such as the Guinness bread today.

I have moved on re: Harper. I haven't moved on from people saying Harper didn't want to play here when he made it clear he did and people blaming him for leaving when the Nats made it clear they didn't want him with a fake offer. The Nats didn't want him they made that clear with a FAKE insulting offer... to make it look like he didn't want to be here.

Not posting starting lineups two days in a row is also bad juju.
