My wife is terrified of snakes and due in six weeks - I've tried mouse traps for months (apparently we may have flying squirrels too), with no effect on the snake population (I still occasionally see a nice black snake wondering what I'm doing in his attic)- at this point I'm letting the exterminator do whatever makes my wife happy

Never had one, but I'll take your word for it. Right now, I have a multi-grain wrap with two slices of cajun deli chicken, one slice of cheese and about a tbsp of hot salsa. I ate half of it for breakfast and have spent the last 30 minutes trying to eat the other half... Don't think I'm gonna be able to.

That's just shocking. I could eat the hell out of that, twice, for breakfast, and I'm like 176. I mean, I know it's the size of your stomach and all, but your body must be reeling from the lack of calories. You're on the Hanoi Hilton diet.

Of course, I wouldn't want a rattler or copperhead to take up residence in my yard either, some things you just can't risk.

They are starting to come down from the mountains for water and what not. Evidently it's not uncommon lately at least when compared to normal sightings.

We had a Black Snake on the walk at the prison tonight. We caught it and then took it around back by the river and let it go at the end of the night. It was about 3' or so.

My wife sent this picture to me. Not our house and the grammatical error made me roll my eyes, but I found it quite amusing because this Sunday when we were eating breakfast one of the squirrels jumped up on the windowsill outside the kitchen, sat up on his hind paws, and stared at her rather intently hoping for a peanut. Unfortunately I didn't have a camera or mobile phone handy and if I'd stood up to get it I'd probably have scared him away.

I saw a woodchuck in the woods last weekend! He was munching on what appeared to be flowers. I had no idea woodchucks were herbivores.
