Yeah, well, when I blow thd horn they waddle faster, which is all I care about. I'd like it if they could be chased away. They crap all over the path around the lake so you have to look down at the ground instead of looking around as you walk.

The Nats–Marlins game just got a lot less interesting. We are getting a show of what appears to be either squirrel foreplay or squirrel sex on our deck.

Heard another one get murdered by a fox about 20 feet from my bedroom window the other night.

Murdered?  I guess a good fox would starve before eating meat.   

I'm on holiday this week up north - WAY, up north.  It did hit 82 degrees today, but the light winds were refreshing and it's a cool 63 right now. 

We have a young kit that is obviously denning within 30 feet of our rental house.  It comes out onto the driveway when we're out, does some stretches, a yawn or two and lays down to watch us.  It's apparent to me it's accustomed to being fed, though it's going to be disappointed in us as far as that goes.  It is awful cute though.  Needs to go find some rabbits or chipmunks.

When it happens under your bedroom window at 2 a.m. it sounds like murder. Rabbits scream.

A friend of mine killed this in his backyard. Approximately 2 feet from where he'd been cutting wood. He did move it for the purpose of picture taking.

I'm sure those people call 'humane' exterminators for mice- the kind who just kill the things after they've left (the exterminator I'm using to get rid of snakes/mice in my attic has humane all over his truck and has basically tiled my attic in glue traps)

for mice? Just kill em. Glue traps are mean and so is poison. I've used glue traps before and then just killed them as soon as I caught them. I tried to get one out of the trap with veg. oil or whatever it was they said to use and it didn't seem to work, so I just killed them immediately. I have no love at all for mice, rats or pretty much any other rodent, but I don't wish to be cruel either. Don't want to see them suffer.

I prefer ultrasonic warfare for repelling rodents. Well that and eliminating their entry points.
