Absolutely. They certainly aren’t trying to fail and belittling them to the media isn’t gonna give them any confidence. Sometimes it’s just best to say tomorrow is a new day and we’re going to fix this.

GO NAAAAAATS!!!

Rubbish. Sometimes you have to deviate from the standard decisions because it’s his neck on the line.

How would you feel if your boss announced at the yearly Christmas party that you were the reason that everyone’s bonus was cut in half?..... Would that make you want to work any harder for your boss?

This is baseball not IBM. All this crap will be in the papers in the morning if not sooner. This can’t continue as is and unfortunately some changes are coming. And guess what? When people are fired and cut it will be all over the news broadcast for the world to see. Boo whooo.

I guess you have to do something else if the ump isn't giving it to you. Doo was moving it around and getting calls (and swinging strikes.) Suero was getting squeezed too and moved off the outside corner.

Yea, Ross did. That was the pitch that got crushed.

Kurt wanted it lower. But yep. That's what Suero did too, and got a called strike. He hit his spot.

Barraclough was released by one of the worst clubs in Major League Baseball and Rosenthal is damaged goods returning from Tommy John surgery. So if anyone should be fired, cut, or Boo Whoooed for the woes of the bullpen it should be Mike Rizzo for attempting to catch lightning in a bottle again.
If Rizzo’s pitching coaches couldn’t get Rivero/Vasquez or Treinen going while they were here, what makes Rizzo think his lame azz pitching coaches can get Barraclough or Rosenthal going again???? If Rizzo doesn’t fire his pitching coaches soon I would fire his azz.

Barraclough wasn't released.  He was traded for money by the majors' cheapest club as soon as he became arb-eligible - as in, might start requiring actual payments commensurate with his skill level.  And he's been one of the better guys out there so far.  Low bar, but he's not the problem.

Comparative dates on which the Nationals notched their fourth win, each season:

I reordered them by number of matches played instead of by date. The early start date of 2019 makes this team look better than it's lousy record shows. - n2p

2018 - 2nd April (4th match of season) - a record that can only be tied!
2013 - 6th April (5th match)
2016 - 11th April (5th match)
2014 - 6th April (6th match)
2012 - 11th April (6th match)
2017 - 10th April (7th match)
2019 - 7th April (8th match)
2005 - 12th April (8th match)
2011 - 10th April (9th match)
2010 - 15th April (9th match)
2015 - 16th April (10th match)
2008 - 13th April (13th match)
2006 - 16th April (13th match)
2007 - 16th April (13th match)
2009 - 26th April (17th match)
