Bulletin board material from a columnist at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. It must be tough to write for a fan base that can't read.

Why are you upset about that?  He is basically saying the Nats are good enough to knock off the Dodgers, while the other WC contenders are not.  He would rather play Washington than LAD in the NLCS - I can't argue with that.

It takes a lot ot get me really upset. Like the 30 minute for a Popeye's chicken sandwich yesterday.

But if was a Nats player I would post it on the bulletin board if the Braves-Nats matchup ever becomes a reality.

if pro athletes need columnists for extra motivation then they've already lost

I mentioned Greg Maddux in a thread last night. It made me think of this commercial.  Is it possible to simultaneously be the best baseball commercial ever and also have aged incredibly poorly?

I think we all need extra motivation. Like if my boss gave me a Popeye's chicken sandwich for lunch, I would probably turn in that report early.

From that article: "And then, if you’re the smooth-running Dodgers, you could be staring at consecutive elimination games."

Yeah, the last time the Nats had two shots at eliminating the Dodgers, how did that go.

What's your point? The Nats should go under the bleachers and suck their thumbs?

Mostly I'm just being miserable about prior playoff failures.

Wendy’s does not belong anywhere near this list. I’d add Shake Shack and Zaxby’s

Had to look up Zaxby's, and I've never tried the Shake Shack chicken sandwich. I'm not sure the latter qualifies as fast food though.

Hopefully Shake Shack's chicken sandwich makes up for their overpriced, mediocre smashburger

Awesome, where's the obligatory "Rank the post-season losses in order of most crushing" topic?

It’s amazing how healthy the Braves have been. Acuna, Albies and Freeman lead the majors in games played at 128. Donaldson is at 125.

Markakis and Swanson have both been out for a while now. inciarte has been on the DL much of the year.
