How many of those 17 losses were when we were starting 6 bench or minor leaguers?

You think it was that, or that hes 29 years old and a career .216 hitter?

If we are going to try to salvage this season, after today, the next 16 games for Philly could give us a chance to make a move:

4 @ Cubs
3 @ Brewers
3 vs Cardinals
3 @ Dodgers
3 @ Padres

Meanwhile, our schedule eases up from the what we have faced so far this month.  (Of course, I still think Atlanta is the best team in the division so they may have a nice lead in 2 weeks.)

You have Sherman in fire in the same sentence, so he'll end up in Atlanta...

Jim Riggleman is the favorite to succeed him. Cano has made Manny Machado look like Pete Rose in terms off hustle. Mets fans are killing Robby for lack of hustle in the field and running the bases (last night, stood still at home while tagged out).

Girardi.

I wonder what they will get for Diaz at the trade deadline?

After Zimmerman gets back and gets his 100 AB's, we'll get back on track.

Finally the press is starting to understand.  Over before June...  who would've thought that?

I've lost faith in Rizzo to even manage a decent fire sale so I think we're screwed for at least the next decade.

1.  I think Rizzo should probably lose his job over hiring Martinez and this crap bullpen, but....

2.  I also think Rizzo could manage a fire sale, but the Lerners will not allow him to do so.

3.  I don't trust the Lerners to hire a new GM or manager.

4.  We are screwed.

Was having the same discussion with my son last night. Well, we weren't quite so certain about #1, but we figured he'd be fired soon.

Lerners will can Rizzo at the end of the season.  They need a PR move, so clean slate while we build for the next era will be the pitch.  I expect Rizzo will get offers not only for Rendon, but also Turner, Doolittle, Scherzer and Strasburg.  I expect him to have at least one deal worked out that the Lerners veto. If he's smart, he quits at that point.  My dream would be for him to pull of the type of deals Cashman made when he moved Miller, McCann, Chapman, and I forget who else, but Mark Lerner is not Hank Steinbrenner.

Then he forgoes the remaining dollars in his contract.
