Eh you can cherry pick stats any way ou want to support any narrative. Schoenfield on ESPN pointed out that a large reason why the Braves run differential isn't more impressive than it is has a lot to do with the terrible performances they were getting from their 4th and 5th starters in the 1st half that were being filled by rookies or injured (Folty) or a guy who was waived (Gausman). It's a credit to them that they were winning a reasonable number of those guys due to offense. You can say the Nats have really punished bad teams, ballooning their run differential. Reasonable analysis says the Nats are clearly the 3rd best team in the NL and have separated themselves from the WC teams who don't pose as a threat to catch the Nats.

42.7% of all statistics are just made up on the spot.  :D

The announcers in this YouTube broadcast are cover-your-ears awful.

Agreed. I also try to compare camera work and production between the different networks.

The whole rocky mountain oysters stuff was weak.  Who are they?  I don't have a clue.

NL East or WC, this Nats team is a legitimate World Series contender if they had a bullpen.

Can the bullpen get hot for the month of October? Sure, anything is possible.

It’s the only thing holding them back.

Starting pitching as good as anyone.
They can hit with anyone.

Amazing what happens when you have professional hitters and no more of dark cloud Harper in the clubhouse. They look like they are having a ton of fun.

Braves lose!  4 back in the loss column.
Let's take (at least) 3 of 4 in Atlanta and then it's all on the table!

I sure hope the TEAM isn't looking past the Blos. They've been one of the best teams in baseball since August 24th

Lol.  I wonder if their social media team pointed that out when they won yesterday?

Harper strikes out in the bottom of the ninth in a bases-loaded, 2 out situation.  I figured he went on Paternity Leave.

If we break the season down into 18 game units (about 11% units), the Nats & Barves have these won - lost records this season.  It shows how the Barves went into the lead in the first half of the year and the Nats have picked up some in the 2nd half.  The trade deadline was around game 108:

Game         Nats            Braves
  1-18               9 - 9             9 - 9
 19-36          5 -13          9 - 9
 37-54          8 -10         12 - 6
 55-72         12 - 6         12 - 6
 73-90         14 - 4         11 - 7
 91-108          9 - 9            10 - 8
109-126         12 - 6         11 - 7
127+             4 - 0             6 - 1

Braves arent sure to win tomorrow either. The Blue Jays Pitcher is their young guy who they think might be an ace that shoutout the Dodgers last start for 7 innings. Bullpen blew it in the 9th.
Also should get Giolito on Sunday.

Well they are the Mets... Did you expect the 1969 team just cuz it was exactly 50 years ago?
