Tailor made strike zone for a pitcher like Lowe.

Apparently because of the error with 2 outs, Sportsline is reporting both runs scored by Martin's homer as unearned.  Does it count as a Quality Start if Bacsik only gives up 2 unearned runs, or is it the 4 total runs?  It wasn't a horrible performance, especially for a guy who'd be in AAA if it weren't for injuries.  That's a 1.17 WHIP and a 3.0 ERA for Bacsik tonight, so thanks Mikey!  Sorry we didn't give you any runs, buddy!

Dodgers 4
Nationals 0

I have Lowe on my Forum H2H fantasy team.  I expected to lose this game, but Lowe is not infallible.  Several people in this Forum picked the Dodgers to go to the World Series.

Yes, it is a quality start outing for Bacsik. He gave us a chance to win the game but we failed to capitalize on his effort.

I fixed the calculation: 3.86 ERA and 1.20 WHIP for the game.

The Dodgers are playing below-average competition though :(

Show of hands- who thinks our next run will be ...tomorrow?

F**ck! Another walk to the pitcher?!?!!

Sorry, back to the post.  This offense has packed it in.

Sh*t! Can we stop these guys?!?!

I don't want to see any more #1 or #2 pitchers on the mound against us, again this season!

This is spooky that EVERY bad thing that we do comes back immediately to hurt us.

We're playing Russian roulette on the diamond tonight.

I'll tell you why EVERY bad thing hurts us - because we have NO INSURANCE RUNS to relieve the damage.  The 1st 4 innings we shut out the Dodgers and we did.....JACK SQUAT!!!!!

Christ.  DON'T WALK THE PITCHER!

As a batter, Lowe has 5 walks in 25 ABs.  Manny should FINE each Nationals pitcher who WALKS an opposing pitcher.  King should be ashamed of himself.  There are other ways to deal with this...

Dodgers 5
Nationals ZERO

Church walked...  DO SOMETHING!  NOWWWWWWWWWW!

Wow, the Nats hit two brick walls in Penny and Lowe.  I'm actually not surprised to see this slump at home after such a good road trip.

This should never happen, a MLB team completely unable to score for two nights in a row!

0-2: In the dirt.
1-2: Borderline pitch.
2-2: Outside or inside pitch.
3-2: Throw a strike.

I'm kind of surprised by the way we are laying an egg at home after the 5-2 road trip. I thought the players would look forward to coming home and be really confident and pumped up. I guess not.

I'm expecting a win tommorrow against the Dodgers.  Pitching is Mark Hendrickson, who has not recorded a win in his last four starts. His last win came on May 2 against the Diamondbacks.  He has been hit hard, walked guys, and given up 3 to 5 runs.  So our guys need to keep the chins up and clobber him tommorrow.

And stop soaking our own infield before each game.. getting tired of Guzman's flubs.
