I was happy to see Bryce leave.  Now I miss him already.

Harper just struck out with a runner on 2nd, 0-2 with a K so far today.

Turner struck out today with 1st and 3rd, no outs, and ahead in the count at 2-0, before swinging at a ball in his eyes.

Then our pending FA hit a 2 hopper to 3rd.

Pffft.

I don’t really think you can take much issue with Turner’s performance today.

That was a piss poor choice to swing and miss at.

Clearly he should be hitting 1.000

Nationals have never been shut out on OD with Bryce Harper in the lineup

That was vintage 2018 nationals today. Poor situational hitting, costly baserunning mistakes, and questionable managerial decisions.

Since when is it OK for a team like the freaking Brewers to be better than us and play with more intensity?

I think people are worried because it looked just like last year. Not like we won a back and forth game with strong run support and a decent BP.

What really got me was the inning Trea Turner stole both 2nd & 3rd, but the Nats couldn't get him in

Huh? He would have struck out 4 times.

Isn’t that more a function of Teheran and not Harper.

Full disclosure: Mets fan here, I come in peace.

You guys have a pretty good lineup. Don't go crazy over this game, Degrom has made many lineups look like that. Just like outside of one homerun and a scratchy rally in the 8th, Scherzer made the Mets lineup look fairly impotent. These are the two best pitchers in the game.
