Been a while.    Lookin' like "weather" stays west of the city.

Should've seeded the clouds to rain this one out.

I'm good with that...

Wunderground shows isolated t-storms starting around 2, with the heavier stuff rolling into D.C. around 4, so hopefully they can play today.

Maybe we can win a 5-6 inning game and skip the bullpen altogether!

the more light rain in the afternoon, the less likelihood of severe storm during the game.

Weather looks really sketchy in Pittsburgh tonight.  I'm thinking this game doesn't get played and then we have to make it up, the day before the WC game.  If we do play, there will likely be a lengthy delay, and let me remind you, we have a 2:20 first pitch in Chicago tomorrow.  That is some serious bullsh*t scheduling by MLB.

If that's the case they need to call this game early so the team can get to Chicago as soon as possible!

Scheduling a night game for a road team before playing a day game in another city.  It should either be a day game today, or a night game in Chicago.

I think that changed from last year, at least according to this that all the Nats beat writers were saying on the July 22 game.  Still MLB's call tonight though.   Radar over there doesn't look too terrible yet though:

Major League Baseball made the decision to postpone Monday's contest because of the threat of inclement weather, not the Nationals. Per League policy, the umpires and Major League Baseball make such postponement decisions for games scheduled after the All-Star break.

If we're up by 2 games, then we don't have to play it at the end of the season

Yep - if it won't affect the standings, we'll likely have a 161 game season rather than a meaningless game the day before the WC.

It ould be quite the mess, if we are down by 1/2 game to Atlanta and the wild card spot, and have to figure out how to fit in this last game, a play off game the division, and a playoff game for the wild card game all in one day (I think they did away with that rule that losing the div playoff game knocked you down a half a game in the standings)!

If you miss the 6pm show tonight: "The Red Arrows will cap off their visit to Washington with a flypast of the Major League Baseball game between the Washington Nationals and Baltimore Orioles on Tuesday evening."

Supposed to be 6:55 PM
