The radar is looking pretty clear for a while.  Is an on-time start likely?

It's off and they are prepping the field...

Looks like it may hold off until after 11.

Weird.   Why not call it 30 minutes ago?   They waited until 7 to see what the weather looked like.  It looked clear, so they called it?

What could possibly be the logic behind this decision? Anyone have any insight?
The probability of precipitation is listed at 0, 20, 35, 15, 10, 40 percent hourly from 7pm through midnight. Rises to 70% at 1 AM. Seriously, what are they thinking?

If my $1.99 weather app is correct, it won't rain at the park until after 11pm, way after the game would have been over. I think the Nats might get some egg on their face with this one. I know MLB made the decision but most ticket holders don't know that.

Weather.com shows cells at that area about 10pm. .

it's not bad considering they had a late flight. Of course it still doesn't bode well for tomorrow since it's the "second night after a flight" :stir:

Judging by the rain at my house (DC), it’s good that they didn’t play this game. I’d be pissed if I was stuck at the park when this hit.

Not to mention that they'd have lost with you there...  :D

That's just wrong bro.    :)     No rain in E. Loudoun yet.

Something just quickly blasted through this part of DC.  Lots of sturm und drang for about 4 minutes and the hot pavement has already evaporated it off.

Same quick system moved through Arlington. Would’ve probably been a 20-minute rain delay at the park.

I think this helps us set up the rotation.  Basically, Fedde pitches the make up game, Scherzer Thursday, and the top 4 get all the starts in the Dodgers and Braves series.

Who starts Saturday?  Also, DHs can wear out a bullpen.

I miscalc'd. Ross will need to start Saturday
After that there's no need for a 5th sp until 8/6 in SF, so I think Fedde is sent down after his Wednesday start.

A postponement tonight would mean a single-fare doubleheader tomorrow, where holders of Thursday's tickets get both games.  So if you don't have a ticket yet for tomorrow, there's plenty seats available (but they'll go fast once the postponement is announced).
