I remember the Knot Hole days in the upper deck of right field at Forbes Field. I never knew there was a PA system in Forbes until the night my uncle got us seats behind the 3rd base dugout.

Tigers beat the Astros 2-1 with Verlander on the mound. Verlander dominant. Gives up only 2 hits. Unfortunately, both hits went over the fence. Biggest underdog to win a game in 15 years. Tigers were pregame +435

11 strikeouts and 99 pitches in complete game loss. Is it a Maddux if you get the loss?

So... definitely a bit of an oversized reaction I would say. But let's talk about the part I like more. The story mentions another reporter, named Al Kaline. You'd think he'd have some comments on the base accusations.
