I can't imagine Ross being on the playoff roster.  Same for Guerra.  Same for Suero.  Same for Rainey.  Same for Elias.  Same for Rodney.

Suero is Dave Martinez's security blanket. Whenever it's getting late and things need a new pitcher, there's nearly a 50/50 shot it'll be Suero, regardless of the situation or if he's already pitched three times in the previous two days. He'll be on the roster.

Or regardless of whether he's already pitched in that game.

Coming soon to Nats Park: Suero gets in a jam, so Martinez waddles out and signals enthusiastically for...Suero.

Legit, how many innings could Scherzer, Strasburg, Corbin and Sanchez pitch and still pitch the next day?

Careful usage as Max is a premium pinch runner.

you do have to wonder if Davey would be tempted to bring in a starter between starts like Cora did last year.  of course, it better work because you don't want to deal with the sore arms next year.

in relief for an inning.  Agree it wasn't clear.  Something like Sale and Price did. Probably not the innings Eovaldi put in.  Scherzer, maybe Corbin for a stretch of lefties, something like that.

You pretty much have to. Unless you get a stupidly large lead in the WC game, there is no way you can trust this pen.

I honestly think that if they build up some sort of lead going into the last week of the season, they need to try using Sanchez and Hellickson out of the bullpen and see if they're effective.
